October 21 - Day of the Uzbek language.

Language is a symbol of the state, property, spirit, cultural and spiritual wealth of the nation, culture, tradition, lifestyle and history of the people.

On October 21, 1989, the Law "On the State Language" was adopted in our country on determining the legal basis of the state language, and according to it, the status of the state language was given to the Uzbek language.

According to Article 1 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan on April 10, 2020 "On Establishing the Uzbek Language Day" (ORQ-615), October 21 was designated as the Day of the Uzbek Language Day.
