"Urgent 20 Days" cleanliness events have been announced

The Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Ecology - Chairman of the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change Aziz Abdukhakimov announced cleanliness events "Urgent 20 Days" throughout the republic from December 20, 2025 to January 10, 2026. This was reported by the Agency for Waste Management and Development of the Circular Economy.

According to it, a republican working headquarters will be created at the Agency for Waste Management and Development of the Circular Economy, and during the event, sanitary cleaning enterprises will clean all territories of solid household waste.

Necessary measures will also be taken to maintain the cleanliness of the mahalla territory, prevent the accumulation of waste during holidays, and strictly observe the timely removal of waste on duty outside the schedule.

The purpose of the "Urgent 20 Days" cleanliness events is to celebrate the New Year holiday in high spirits among the population, to keep the environment clean and thereby contribute to the further improvement of the ecological situation.
