"Cleanliness and Tidiness Month"

Work continues in Tashkent within the framework of the "Month of Cleanliness and Openness" and "Clean Capital" projects.

About 900 units of special equipment and about 8,000 workers, as well as 260 inspectors, 160 employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and 100 servicemen of the National Guard were involved in the process. In 585 mahallas of Tashkent, more than 660 hectares of land were cleaned, and about 3.5 thousand tons of household and solid waste were removed. The areas adjacent to 2,500 apartment buildings have been completely cleared of garbage. At 89 sites, 10.7 km of canals were cleaned, and 484 tons of household waste were removed from them.

A special headquarters has begun operating in each district of the capital to effectively organize the timely collection and removal of waste during the autumn rainy season. The main task of the headquarters is to ensure a comfortable, clean, and healthy environment in the city. The headquarters includes:
•Tashkent city administration,
• General Prosecutor's Office,
• Ministry of Ecology,
• Ministry of Emergency Situations,
• Ministry of Internal Affairs,
• National Guard
and other partner organizations. Work to ensure the cleanliness and sanitary safety of the city continues systematically.
