Waste collection and removal are carried out by the State Unitary Enterprise "Maxsustrans" (share 70%) and alternative private waste removal companies (share 30%).
- Over the past year, new equipment was purchased through a loan from the Asian Development Bank, Tashkent's mahallas were inventoried, waste disposal sites were restored, new containers with a capacity of 770 and 1,100 liters were installed, and modern waste collection modules were created.
- 59 units of specialized equipment have been purchased.
- By 2028, waste processing plants will be built outside the city, where 60% of waste will be recycled.
