In 2026, the foundation was laid for the construction of another 5 waste incineration plants in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, as well as in the Bukhara and Surkhandarya regions, with a total value of 630 million US dollars. Currently, project feasibility studies are being developed, and agreements for the supply of waste have been signed.
As a result of the implementation of these projects, 1.9 million tons of solid household waste will be burned annually, 635 million kWh of electricity will be produced, and new jobs will be created. In addition, a project to sort waste and process greenhouse gases with a total value of 10 million US dollars is being implemented in the city of Samarkand together with the Turkish company "MT Makina." As a result, 500 tons of waste will be sorted daily and 100 new jobs will be created. Along with this, a project worth 117 million US dollars is being implemented with the participation of foreign partners, within the framework of which 960 thousand tons of ash sediment will be processed annually. In the future, it is planned to establish the production of construction materials from the resulting ash residue.
