According to Appendix 2a to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. UP-5 dated January 4, 2024, waste types that are currently economically impractical to process and for which state incentives for the introduction of processing technologies are provided include:
- organic waste (food, agricultural, landscaping waste, branches, leaves, etc.) — for the production of organic fertilizers;
- waste processed by pyrolysis to obtain gas (for electricity production), liquid fuel, and rubber raw materials;
- Tetra Pak packaging;
- used power supply elements (batteries, batteries, and other current sources);
- hygiene products (diapers, medical masks, and other items);
- fluorescent lamps;
- glass waste;
- waste of electronic and electrical products;
- chemical waste (paints, aerosols, brake and hydraulic fluids, solvents, and other chemical substances);
- certain types of plastic waste (excluding PET): HDPE, PVC, LDPE, PP, PS.
Types of waste classified as "recyclable"
- all types of plastic waste;
- paper and waste paper (newspapers, magazines, cardboard, office paper, etc.);
- ferrous and non-ferrous metal scrap;
- glass products and glass fragments;
- textile waste;
- rubber and rubber-technical products (vehicle tires, cameras, conveyor belts, etc.).
