On February 7, 2025, the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the State Program for the Implementation of the 'Uzbekistan – 2030' Strategy in the Year of Environmental Protection and the 'Green Economy'" was adopted. The document defines key tasks and priority areas of state policy aimed at ensuring environmental safety, the rational use of natural resources, reducing negative environmental impacts, and accelerating the country's transition to "green" economy principles. Within the framework of the State Program, the implementation of large-scale projects is envisaged to improve the waste management system, expand the use of renewable energy sources, increase the energy efficiency of economic sectors, landscape territories, and improve environmental infrastructure.

Particular attention is paid to forming the ecological culture of the population, implementing modern environmental technologies, developing "green" industries, and creating favorable conditions for the sustainable socio-economic development of the country. The implementation of the tasks provided for in the "Uzbekistan – 2030" Strategy will be an important step toward creating an ecologically clean, comfortable, and safe environment for current and future generations, as well as strengthening Uzbekistan's position as a state consistently implementing sustainable development principles.
