A modern plant for generating alternative thermal energy through the thermal disposal of medical waste has commenced operations in the capital. The implementation of this project is aimed at ensuring environmentally safe management of hazardous waste, reducing negative environmental impact, and implementing modern technologies in waste management. To date, the enterprise receives, neutralizes, and disposes of approximately 3 tons of medical waste daily. At the same time, the plant's design capacity allows for the processing of up to 6 tons of waste during 20 hours of continuous operation per day.
The use of high-temperature combustion technology ensures not only the safe destruction of medical waste but also the generation of thermal energy that can be used for industrial needs. This approach complies with international environmental standards and contributes to the development of "green economy" principles. The commissioning of the new facility is an important step in improving the medical waste management system, increasing the level of sanitary and epidemiological safety, and implementing modern environmental solutions in Uzbekistan.
