In 2026, in connection with the celebration of the Independence Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan, no additional days off are established for employees. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction. According to the current schedule: For employees with a five-day work week, August 30 (Sunday), August 31 (Monday), and September 1 (Tuesday) will be days off—a total of three consecutive days of rest. For employees with a six-day work week, August 31 and September 1 will be days off.

The ministry emphasized that there are no plans to transfer days off or provide additional non-working days this year. Holidays and days off will be provided in accordance with the established labor legislation and the approved production calendar. As a reminder, September 1st is annually celebrated as the Independence Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan—one of the country's main public holidays. Citizens and organizations are advised to plan their work schedules, trips, and festive events in advance, taking into account the approved weekend schedule.
