It should be noted that the adoption of the new edition of the Law "On Waste" will allow:

- Improve legislation in the field of waste management in accordance with modern requirements;

- strengthen the material and technical base of sanitary cleaning enterprises and consistently continue measures to improve the quality of services they provide to the population;

- achieving the target of reducing existing solid waste landfills by 50 percent within the framework of the "Uzbekistan-2030" Strategy;

- implement projects for the production of energy resources through the burning of household waste in 6 regions of the republic in 2025-2026;

- implement an effective system for collecting plastic waste generated annually in the amount of 1.8 million tons

- continue the digitalization of the industry through the implementation of modern information technologies.
